2008 MISSION PROJECTS

These are just a few of our projects for 2008. Pray that all of these projects will be completed this year. Pray about coming to work with us as a volunteer for a week long mission trip. If you desire to know more about any of these projects, just write us at drwcp@juno.com.

CHURCH CONSTRUCTION

Last year we constructed three churches, this year we hope to build in four very needy areas. Two will be built in Brazil, one in Paraguay and one in Bolivia. This we will do as God gives us teams to come and construct the buildings.

UPWARD BASKETBALL

In 2008 we will introduce Brazil to Upward Sports Ministries. We have teams coming in March to train people how to reach children in a new and exciting way. Then in July four churches from the states will come to conduct week long basketball camps. After this we expect local churches to begin this new ministry in their communities. We pray there will be a great harvest of young souls in the months to come.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

We are excited about our new ministry with children who have special needs. Some are in a hospital that ministers to children with cancer, others are in orphanages across our state. Our work with them will be challenging and sometimes heartbreaking, but we look forward to bring a little joy into their lives in the name of our Lord.

BAPTIST STATE CONVENTION

We will also continue our partnership with the Baptist State Convention of Motto Grosso de Sul as we teach and encourage them to be more involved in personal mission projects.

CFL

We will also continue our relationship with the Learning center in Cruzeiro do Sul. Pr. Nunes and his staff are training young people from the tribes and up the rivers to one day go back and evangelize their own people.

TERENA INDIANS

Our work with the Terena Indians has gone well for two years now. We pray that 2008 will allow us to partner with them in ways that have never been achieved before. May this door remain open until every member of this great tribe of people is reached with the good news of Jesus.

If you offer yourself to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted one, then your light will shine in the darkness, and your night will be like noonday

If you offer yourself to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted one, then your light will shine in the darkness, and your night will be like noonday.  The Lord will always lead you, satisfy you in a parched land, and strengthen your bones.  You will be like a watered garden and like a spring whose waters never run dry.  Isaiah 58:10-11
